Show German Expenses At Versailles 250,000 Marks BERLIN. June 14 (Correspondence (Correspond-ence of The Associated Press ) The financial authorities who have been entrusted with the paying of the German Ger-man delegation's bills at Versailles have discovered today that the expense for the 250 delegates, experts, clerks and stenographers just for living only, for five weeks, totals a quarter of a million marks. This naturally does not include the personal expenses which in themselves are very considerable. consid-erable. Thi.s great expense is due partly because be-cause of the bad state of the German exchange which is less than one-half that of the French franc, so that the delegates must pay the French more than 200 marks daily apiece. on |
