Show t ; ; ; s Distinguished Guests Are Hcnored at Dinner Friday Evening J Mr. and Mrs. Frank Agnew of Ecck.-. Hall. Attleboro. Enpland, were the hon or guests at a small dfnner party given giv-en at the Country club Friday evening when Mr. and Mrs Warren L. We IU were host and hostess. There were twelve guests present to greet Mr. end Mrs Agnew. The central decoration of the dining din-ing table was a basket of Shasta daisies mingled with sprays of "baby bieath" and surmounted by .-mall :ilk American and B(riiish flags. At each guest's plate was placed 8 small Union Jack in compliment to the nationality of the honor guests. Mrs. Agnew is a daughter of William J Menzies of Euipshott Grange, I i Hampshire, England, who Is well known to Ogden financiers. Mr Agnew has, of late years, been looking atter the investments of Mr. Menzies and bis associates in America, but made no isits to this 'ountry during the war as bo was a volunteer officer in the reserve English army and had charge of an Important department of the food j administration. Mr. and Mrs. Agnew have engaged a suite at the Hermitage and will be i hero for some time. oo HOME FROM EAST. Rev. Godfrey Matthews returned to Ogden laM Monday afternoon lrom Denver and Chicago where he spent two weeks Rev. Matthews was present pres-ent at the Congregational convention iu Denver and attended to interests of the church in Chicago. EASTERN VISIT. Mrs. Rose Sweet Woodruff and son Charles, who'bave been visiting in Op-den Op-den for the past few days, have gone east on an extended visit. VISITING IN OGDEN Mis Kathryn Fitzgerald, who has 'spent the past year in Evanston. Ill, with her sister, Mrs. George Paul Me-Cabe, Me-Cabe, is expected to arrive in Ogden early next week for an indefinite visit vis-it Miss Fitzgerald will be the house guest of Dr and Mrs. Edward M. i Convoy during her stay here. i HOME FROM SALT LAKE CITY. Mrs. Ernest T. Spencer and little 'daughter Kay have returned from Salt Lake City where they pent the past I ten days visiting relatives TO GO NORTH. Mr. and Mrs. A .
