Show SPENCER APARTMENTS SOLD TO . HOME MISSIONARY SOCIETY The purchase , of the John Hamncr property, formerly known as tho Spencer apartments, corner Twenty -fifth street and Adams avenue, for the women's homo to bo maintained in i Ogden by the Methodist church Woman's Wom-an's Home Missionary society, has been completed and work will bo Immediately Im-mediately commenced to turn the place into a suitable home for the pur-pose pur-pose intended. The consideration was $25,500. Tho improvements will bo made at once and the total expenditure, expendi-ture, Including cost, will then total approximately $28,000. The property was purchased through arrangements made' by Mrs. Leonard Woodruff of Allendale, N. J., Mrs. D. B. Street of Washington, D. C, and Mrs. S. Sprowls of Los Angeles, who have been in the city several days on this business. The hall will be officially dedicated at a service to be held on August 28, when Bishop Nicholson of Chicago will be In Ogden. At this timo a public re-coptlon re-coptlon will bo held. Tho new home will be superintended superintend-ed by Mrs. J. Leon Webster and the Misses Dunn will assist The homoi will be conducted- after tho method, oraployed In Young Women's Christian association work. It will aim to pro-vldo pro-vldo young women, who havo no home and who aro working in Ogden, board and room at a reasonable cost with the Influences and advantages of a Christian homo. It Is also planned to provide anoon-day anoon-day rest room at tho homo for all who desire such a place.
