Calendar Since the state board of health is-1 sued the order that all public places' of amusement, as well as churches and social- gatherings should be closed until un-til the epidemic cf Spanish influenza had subsided, there has been a general gen-eral postponement of club meeting's and society affairs. A number of club meetings were scheduled for the week past and for the coming week but most ! cf the club members have cither compiled com-piled with the order or arc holding i their meetings in the open air. J The local Red Cross shop and tea j room have clcscd and those who are doing work at the Red Cross headquar- tcrs in the city are wearing the gauze i masks as a protection against the dis-1 ease. Following are a number of the clubs who havo postponed meetings in accordance ac-cordance with the state" order. |
