I left my wife and kiddies And I went to Franco to fight For the flag and homo and honor And the things I knew were right.. And though I've got a timber leg-Say. leg-Say. Pardner, I expect The loss ain't what it would a-been Had I lost my self -respect. And here I am back home again. I've done my little bit. And wife and kids are proud because I happened to get hit. Yes, sir! They're proud of this old peg As proud as they can be For It's the finest part, they say Of ray anatomy. And when I hear them talk like this It makes me pretty mad, Because I've got an arm or two My country could have had.
