The record for yesterday alone was $70,000. This figure was not absolutely ab-solutely certain as reports from only four of the seven banks have been received, re-ceived, but Sec. O. J. Stilwell made an average of the other three and based the day's total at $70,000. The four banks reporting showed subscriptions of $54, 25" One of the larger subscriptions of yesterday was made by the Thomas D. Dee estate through the Ogden Savings bank. It was for $10,000. The drive in the county is meeting with considerable success also aecor.l ing to reports made by Chairman A. G. Fell. Reports were being received today from several sev-eral other districts of the county and indicated that everywhere there has been active and loyal interest in the issue. It is expected the report made after the last figures hae been recei -ed will show that the district is Hearing Hear-ing its apportionment. The Boy Scouts started combing the City and county today Several squads of Scouts visited the business district and personally approached many hundreds hun-dreds of people. In a case where a bond had been bought, the Scouts urged the purchaser to take another on the installment plan. The Scouts will continue their active work next i week and expect to "glean" at least $15,000 from Ogden people while many people predict that they will raise at least twice that amount. Reports from Weber Normal college show that there has been a very loyal support of the third issue in that institution insti-tution The total amount at present stands at $180u cash and $350 in pledges.
