Show ENTERTAINING AFFAIR AT SIL-VERTHORN SIL-VERTHORN HOME. Iast Thursday evening at the cozy home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry B. Sil i -thorn u delightlully planned affair was given in honor of their son. Bert C. Silverthorn who leaves tomorrow for Camp Lewis and Hugh Silverthorn. The party was a farewell party for the former and at l he same time celebrated celebrat-ed the birthday anniversary of Hugh. The Silverthorn home, 2073 Ballan-tyne Ballan-tyne avenue was attractively decorated decorat-ed for the occasion with fragrant spring blossoms intermingled with American flags and placed effectively throughout the parlor and dining room. During the evening a jolly time was spent in various games and splendid musical selections. Miss Mclntyre and Mrs b. c. silverthorn entertained with instrumental numbers while Mr. Hey-wood Hey-wood sang in his usual fine manner. The songs wi?rp mostly patriotic and were exceptionally well given. Later the guests enjoyed a tasty buffet luncheon served in perfect jtyle by Mrs. Silverthorn Until a late hour the following guests spent a jolly time and just before leaving for their home the entire party joined in singing "America": Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Giles, Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Silverthorn. Mr. and Mrs. .Mclntyre, Mr. Ralph Mclntyre. Miss Mary Mclntyre, Mr. Richard Hey wood, Miss Howe. Mr. and Mrs, Janus Doxey, Miss Doxoy, Mr. James Powell, Mr. Hugh Silverthorn and Mr. and Mrs Henry B.
