Show SIXTY-FIFTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY. ANNI-VERSARY. Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Knighl, both of whom crossed the plains with an ox team from Nauvoo, II) . observed the sLxty-fifth anniversary of their wed-wlng wed-wlng day last Wednesday at the home of their daughter, Mrs R J Eames in Harrisvllle. Mr. and Mrs. Knight were among the first pioneers of the county and have resided in Plain City and Harrisville district for many vears They moved to Plain City in 1859. Both old people are very active despite de-spite their advanced years and despite the .fact that Mrs. Knight is 'totally deaf and for the past ten years has be.-n blind, she has been active in knitting for the Red Cross, having completed seven pairs of socks in the past few months. Besides a large number of children the couple are Ml ed with fifty-nine grandchildren and sixty tour great grandchildren i hi re was no elaborate celebration of their wedding anniversary' but during dur-ing the day and evening a large number num-ber of their descendants and friends gathered at the Eames home to pi. sent the couple with a little remembrance remem-brance and Wish them many more ob--enanees of i heir wedding day. Mr Knight was born in New Hampshire, Hamp-shire, in 1830 and came to Utah in 1850. crossing the plains with an ox 1 1 .mi. He joined the Church of Latter-day Latter-day Saints April 24. 1849. Mrs. Knight v., Mr - Catherine Megnlre before her marriage to Mr. Knight in 1853 in Salt Lake City and she also crossed the plains with a team in 1852. She WSJ 1'rn in Pennsylvania in 1833.
