Show ii pinr things, AT PRESBYTER! CHURCH BAZAAR A large number of the men and women wo-men of the First Presbyterian church I were working last evening in the basement of the church getting the new dining room and kitchen in readiness read-iness for the supper, noon dinner and bazaar to be given on Thursday and Friday of this week. The new rooms will add much to the convenience of the building, besides be-sides furnishing two large rooms for the general work of the organizations of the congregation. The dining room will be forty-eight feet long by twenty six feet wide. This room contains a large brick fireplace which has been built in ou the north side. A new stairway stair-way has been placed leading from the assemb'ly hall to the center of this room. New windows have been cut in the outer wall which will make this i dining room light and airy. It is the .intention to add arrangements which will make it possible to use this room for the kindergarden department of the Sunday school. The kitchen will be reached through two double doors from the cast end of i this dining room. The kitchen has 1 been newly equiped with a hotel Ma-I Ma-I jestic range, a large gas range, a steam I table, built in sinks for washing and drying dishes, a salad and desert table and gas coffee percolator. Most of the work of excavating for t these rooms as well as a great part of I the fitting up of the rooms for service ' has been done by the men of the church evenings. Turkey supper will be served Thursday Thurs-day night from 5 to 8. Dinner will be served Friday noon. The bazaar will offer a complete line of useful articles in the following lines: Linens, aprons, bags, handkerchiefs, towels, crochet work, gowns, Jams and jellies, toys, candj and other homemade articles. |
