Show ARRESTED ON CHARGE OF SELLING DRUGS' BINGHAM. Dec. 3. Chief Deputy! Sheriff J. W. Edmond and Deputy! Sheriff V. B. Jones made an important' capture at 9 o'clock tonight, when theyi arrested J. Herman on the' charge of' having drugs illegally in his posses-j sion. The arrest was made directly in ' front of the police station as Herman i stepped from an automobile in which he had made the trip from Salt Lake.1 When searched Herman was found to i have more than $100 worth of drugs,' such as cocaine, opium, etc. He also, bad three hypodermic syringes and a, delicate pair of scales. j For weeks past the deputy sheriffs' and police officials have known that a j considerable amount of drugs wasj being sold in Bingham, but tonight's arrest is the first that has been made. The opinion is expressed that most of the traffic has been carried on by Herman. Her-man. Tonight Chief Deputy Sheriff Edmonds Ed-monds was given a tip that Herman had gone to the city for a supply of drugs and this led to the man's arrest as soon as he returned. |
