Show ABE 1 ILLI1 TO HELPJIS STATE? Since the year 1896, when the Beehive Bee-hive state was first admitted to the union, it has been making rafpid progress pro-gress in all lines. What were once villages have grown to cities, which are numbered among the largest in the west, the state is dotted by busy little towns, that are nourishing day bv day. The inhabitants are known over all the country as industrious and thrifty poople. In past years they have done much to beautify their cities and to promote the welfare of their state. Large educational Institutions have I been erected; factories and mills have been built in suitable places. Each season sea-son the fertile plains are tilled by skillful hands, and turned Into waving fields of yellow grain. Tho lofty old Wasatch mountains have been mined till they yielded their share towards the glory of the state. Nearly everything every-thing from the dire necessities, to the luxuries of life are found in Utah. Each year families have settled here . and found it not only an agreeable but i a fascinating place. Perhaps many I people are leaving, not because they ! are dissatisfied but because they need j iorlc to support themselves. If people will help the government, If thev will do all they can to make life as pleasant ?s possible in these hard times there will be no need of persons seeking work In an unknown state. There is plenty to do in this vast country if the citizens wish Utah to be u leader of other states, If they want it to grow in population and wealth, if they desire de-sire to insure Its prosperity and independence inde-pendence In future years, they must lend a. helping hand.
