Show SEVEN SMUGGLERS , TO BE SENTENCED NEW YORK, Dec. 3. Seven smugglers smug-glers of rubber, jewelry, precious stones and jewelers' saws in illegal commerce between Germany and tho United States pleaded guilty in the federal court in Brooklyn today and will be sentenced Friday. Three others already had made tho same plea and five more are yet to be tried. A majority of the defendants who were arrested last September were sailors on Belgian relief steamships. One. The smuggling was done by way of Holland, the rubber rub-ber going to Germany and the other articles coming to the United States. oo |
