Show ou con URGES CONCERTED STEPS i Governor Bamberger has issued letters let-ters to boards of county commissioners commission-ers in each of the counties of the state urging upon them the necessity of immediate im-mediate action in the matter of taking definite and concrete steps in the mobilization of food resources as set forth in his proclamation of Wednesday. Wednes-day. "I wish only to supplement the proclamation," proc-lamation," the governor's letter says, "by asking you to co-operate with the municipal authorities of the cities and towns in your county in the holding of mass meetings, for which this call is issued. Permit me to suggest that at these mass meetings committees of the best citizens of your county bo named to co-operate with your board and the governor and such other agencies as may be working along the same lines in our national crisis. "The important thing to be done now is to urge upon all tho people of your county to cultivate every foot of soil capable of cultivation and to unite the people in the plan to increase the food supply of tho state as much as possible'. "In this connection I wish to urge upon as many of your board and such other citizens in your community as many be designated to represent your section to attend a meeting to be held at the stato capitol in Salt Lake City, on April 21, 1917." oo |
