Brisk demand for cash wheat continued con-tinued from seaboard and milling interests in-terests and gave the May option relative rela-tive firmness as compared with later deliveries. Speculative trade was rather rath-er light. Opening quotations, which ranged from 1 l-4c off to 2c advance, with May at $2.12 to $2.19 1-2 and July at 1.88 to $1.88 3-1, were followed by some upturns, but then a material setback all around. Lightness of offerings put strength into corn. New high record prices for the season were attained. After opening open-ing unchanged to 1 l-4c up, tho market mar-ket underwent a general sag, but then began to soar. Oats duplicated the action of corn. Buying orders were numerous, though mainly for small quantities. Scattered selling was suffiicent to case down provision. Lard led tho decline. de-cline. Chicago Quotations. Wheat " Open. High.
