Show OAKS WIN BY 1RR0WMARGIR Middleton's Hit Scores Winning Win-ning Tally in Oaks' Game With Seals. SAN FRANCISCO, April 12. Tho Oaks pulled a game out of the fire today. Thero were two men out in tho ninth and the Oaks trailing 3 to 2 and no one on bases whon the rally began. Del Howard sent in Chad-bourne, Chad-bourne, Arlott and Middloton as pinch hitters, and every ono of them delivered deliv-ered a safo blow. Billy Lane also got a hit and Eddie Mensor walked, so out of the mess Oakland scored two runs and walked off with tho gamo, -i to 3. It was Middleton's hit that scored the winning tally. Two hundred young bluejackets from tho training station at Goat Island were guests of the Oakland club and they put on an exhibition of rooting in the eighth and ninth Inning that would do credit to tho cheering section sec-tion of a big college football game. Burns was batted out of the box in the third, whon Pick hit him for a double, Schaller beat out a bunt and Maisel scored both men with a triple. Goodbred relieved him and was not scored on. Oldham was wild, but hard to hit, and with the tieing run over in the ninth. Spicier Baum went to his relief. He walked Mensor and then MIddleton hit him for the knockout blow. It was opening day in Oakland and there was a lunch at the Commercial clubrooms and a parade before the game.
