Show H Combine to Boost H Roads in Illinois H H ' If multiplicity of good roads associn- H , tions has any bearing on quality of H ' state roads, Illinois should be a ban- H I ner state. The latest of these is the H , Illinois State Automobile and Good Hl Roads association, formed this week. H It is indicated that the organization may effect a merger with the Illinois Automobile association, which has been in the state of silence for several sev-eral years. Representatives of sixty-four sixty-four motor truck and highway organ!' zations were present. For the present the chief purpose of the new association associa-tion is to get behind the movement for good roads in Illinois and to support sup-port tho Illinois Highway Improvement association's platform, which calls for a $60,000,000 bond issue, an increase in motor car license fees and appropriation appro-priation to meet tho federal aid law. |
