His application was tendered H with letters from prominent citizens, j giving the required assurances of Mr. H Hall's good standing in the community, H together with his honorable discharge H certificates, showing that he served H nobly in two enlistments the volun- H teer national guard during the Spanish H war and the regular army in the Phil- H Mr. Hall's army credentials prove H his ability as a soldier, his skill in H handling men and his high courage In H active service. He is now employed as H a railroad mail clerk. The age limit B required him to apply for the rank of B captain, for which he qualified through H his unusually good military record.
