Show CALL ISSUED 10 THE EMPLOYERS IN THIS COUNTY To stimulate co-operation in recruiting recruit-ing for the army and navy and the common defense, the committee on safety and preparation, at last night's meeting, Issued a call for all employers em-ployers who aro willing to continue the pay of employes who enlist and to reinstate them when they return from military service, to report such willingness without delay. The names will be published, aB proof of patriotic pa-triotic co-operation. Adolph M. Miller of the Washington market was the first to volunteer an offer of this kind, Immediately after Congress declared war. In tho Spanish-American war and the border service last summer tho western railroads continued tho pay of employes enlisting and malntalnod fully all seniority rights. The call follows. The Committee of Preparation and Safety. Number 7. To the Citizens of Ogdon and Weber County: Your committee of preparation and safety will be pleased to recolve and publish the names of all individuals, firm and corporate employers who will agree to reinstate, at the expiration expira-tion of their terms of enlistment, in tho positions occupied by them at tho time of their enlistment, any of thoir employes who enlist in the reg. ular or voluntary military or naval service of the country, during the presont war; and if, during the ab sence of such employes, any such employers em-ployers are willing to pay to the persons who are dependent upon their said employes any portion of the salary sal-ary they would have earned It they had not enlisted, but had remained at work, we will be pleased to also announce that fact. In other communities many of tho employers havo already made just such promises to their men, feeling that if. they are willing to risk thoir lives for tho nation's honor, and tho common good of their follow man, that their loved ones should be cared for during thoir absence from home and they be re-instated in their positions posi-tions on their roturn.
