Show uu TROOPS WEST OF OGDEN. Without waiting for something to happen, the federal forces have been quick to act, as is evidenced by the arrival of troops from the coast for distribution at strategic points along the Southern Pacific road west of Ogden. Yesterday morning 107 soldiers camped at Ryndon, just over the Utah line In Nevada, and today the tunnels tun-nels and "bridges between Carlin and Halleck are under heavy guard. This Is leaving nothing to chance. But back of it all there must he real apprehension, for at no time in our history have our railroads been so closely guarded as at present. Before Be-fore the troops arrived at Ryndon, the railroad company had private guards stationed at vulnerable points. Our secret service must be in possession pos-session of much information in relation rela-tion to plotting of which the public knows nothing.) oo |
