The harvest last year was on approximately 8,400 acres Nearly all tho farmers contracting havo increased their acreage. Others have not contracted as yet and these additions will bring a heavy total. Weather conditions have held back preparations for seed planting, tho field superintendent reports, but a few days of warm sunshine will bring the ground to proper shape so that the plowing and seeding can be done.
