Show COLORED BOY IS UNDER ARREST Accused of participating in the robbery rob-bery of C. II Carter, W. H. Johnson and II. C. Williams, three youths who arrhed in Ogden last night from Po-catello, Po-catello, It. Williams, a negro boy 17 years of age, was arrested last night by Patrolman Wootten. He is alleged to have accompanied the three youths from Pocatello to the Oregon Short Line bridge over the Ogden river Here they left the train and the young negro and an older man arc said to have held up Carter Johnson and H. C. Williams, taking from them $3.50 in money, a gold watch and fob and an American Express Ex-press check. After completing the robbery, according ac-cording to the story told the police, the prisoner and his alleged partner In crime, made a quick get-a-way and the former was pointed out to Officer Wootten on lower Twenty-fifth street about an hour after the robbery had occurred. Following his arrest, Williams Wil-liams admitted having accompanied his accusers to Ogden, but denied all knowledge of or participating in a robbery. |
