Fell is in receipt of a communication from the president of the National Security league, with headquarters In New York, asking him to exercise his Influence toward the organization of aleague of the kind in Ogden. Mayor Fell states that, In the face of present day conditions con-ditions respecting war. and the possibility pos-sibility of traitorous acts on the part of some of the foreign population -n the United States, it might be well for Ogden, as well as other cities of the country to bo safeguarded through 5on e oiy;anizatIon that will have for Us purpose the protecting of the hotter interests of the country. It is said in -the communication to the mayor that the maintenance of the integrity of the United States is so important that the problem of adequate ade-quate national defonso must be met with grim determination, suggesting that "America First" should be the slogan of all Americans and American Ameri-can cities. Co-operation on the part of the city Is called for. Mr. Fell states that It is not likely that he will take the initiative iu the organization of a league in Ogden, but that ho will lend his support and official of-ficial influence to those who might, care to start a movement for an organization. or-ganization.
