Show OGDEN SELECTED AS SITE FDR CEREAL FACTORY After several months of untiring effort ef-fort on the part of local people, Og-den Og-den was selocted last night as the city where the plant of the Utah Cereal Ce-real company will be erected. Such was the logical decision of the site committee after a hard contest between be-tween Salt Lake, Kaysvillc and Og-den. Og-den. The final meeting on the question ques-tion was held In Salt Lake, where, with J. S. Carver, Willinm Allison, Willard Kay nnd James L. Carlson, representing the Weber club, Ogden's argument was presented. Representatives of the other two cities were also present at the meeting meet-ing and the discussion according to reports, was extremely Interesting. It took three votes to reach a decision. Ogden and Salt Lake were a tie in the first vote, Ogden winning in the second, and the vote being made unanimous una-nimous In the third. The main point in the argument made by Ogden men and which could not be gainsaid, was Ogden's splendid railroad facilities, undeniably the best in the state, and this fact had much lo do with tho decision to build the factory here. The probable site on which the factory will be built is at present owned by M. S. Browning and Is on Pacific avenue, between Twenty-eighth Twenty-eighth and Twenty-ninth streets. Several Sev-eral other Ogden sites were, however, approved and if there Is any trouble In securing the Browning property, one of them will be taken. The erection of the cereal factory in Ogden may mean much to the city as it will be the first large plant in the- Jntormountain country to be utilized exclusively in the manufacture of cereal food3.
