TABERNACLE CHOIR IS TO SING AT GENERAL CONFERENCE The Ogden Tabernacle choir has received re-ceived and accepted an invitation from the First Presidency of the Mormon church to sing In the Assembly Assem-bly hall in Salt Lake City, at the afternoon session of the general conference con-ference of the church on Sunday, April 5th. The invitation was received re-ceived by Director Joseph Ballantyne yesterday and read to the choir at its regular rehearsal last night. This will necessitate tho preparation prepara-tion for ten or more choruses for the Salt Lake trip as the choir has previously previ-ously accepted an Invitation to furnish fur-nish the music for the general Sunday Sun-day school conference on the evening even-ing of April 5. While this will be a good sized contract for the choir, Director Ballantyne believes his singers sing-ers capable of filling It with credit and the fine rehearsal which was held last night was an evidence that the people of the conference will hear some splendid choral music. Director Ballantyne had several sample photographs of the choir which were taken by last week and these were examined with considerable consider-able interest by the choir members.
