Show REGISTRATION DAYS AND MOW The question of registration Is one that deserves the attention of all voter vot-er at this time and every etfort should be marie to understand what is required. re-quired. It Is a certainty that no one will be permitted to vote November 5 unless he is duly registered. Tho la,w provides for registration and it is very explicit as to how it shall bo dope. The days regaining for registration are October 29 und 30 and only on those days will tho registration offices bo open. At times these registration books aro revised and names that were once on them aro taken off, so It is well for one to see to it that his name has not been stricken from the list. The only wn3' to do this is to go to the registration regis-tration office. Those who voted in the city a year ago or In the county two years ago still have their names on the books but those who were registered and I did not vote are not on the hooks. Each person entitled to the electhe. j franchise must register in tho voting district where he resides and If, after ho registers, he moves to another district, he must have his name transferred from the list of his former for-mer residence. The registration officers offi-cers are required to givo certificates of transfer when called for. A transfer trans-fer may bo secured at any time and on any day prior to election day, but not election day. It must be borne in mind, however, that voters can register their names on the voting lists only on tho days abovo stated. |
