The Alaska railroad commission, which ar- rived from Fairbanks last night, was i unable to make a thorough inspection of the Copper River & Northwestern railroad, built by the Morgan-Guggenheim syndicate, because part of the trip was made at night and will go over the lino again tomorrow. The commission will also examine the j junction of the proposed lino from j the Bering river coal field with the Copper River road. Morrow, U. S A., chairman of tbe commission, said the members were greatly impressed im-pressed with the resources of the country, and the impression prevails that cougress will be urged to construct con-struct a line to tho Tanana valley, as well as to the Mntanuska coal fields. |
