Tho purchase price was around $115,000, which Is at the rate of $1,1R0 per front foot, the building having 100 feet frontage on West First South, Just adjoining tho Utah National Bank building. The deal "was consummated yesterday yes-terday afternoon at a meeting of the company's board of directors, attended attend-ed by Mr. Eccles. It is said to have been In the naturo of an expedient on thc part of the company, which found it conld use tho $115,000 to better bet-ter advantage than having It tied up In real estato. Mr. Eccles has purchased pur-chased the building as an Investment and according to statements by members mem-bers of thc company he has no immediate im-mediate plans for Improving the property prop-erty with a better building. The Jennings block Is ono of the landmarks of Salt Lake. It was one of tho first tnree-story buildings to bo erected in Salt Lake and was con.-sldered con.-sldered among the best In the cltvj before tho skyscrapers.
