The deadlock over the appointment of a city auditor hero tvas broken last night when thc warring war-ring factions In the city commission compromised upon William Evans, Ir., formerly a clerk in thc city electric elec-tric lighting office. Logan has been without an auditor since the duly elected candidate, Joseph Jo-seph Quinny, rosigned three weeks ago on the order of his physician The commission had failed to agree upon his successor. Mr. Evans will assume his duties at once. N. P. Nielsen, who also was a candidate for appointment to the office of auditor, was appointed to succeed suc-ceed Evans in the lighting office. |
