Show uu SYMPATHY - r -r "Good Fellows" Movement Move-ment to Aid Suffering Farmers Great Bend, Kan., Jan. 17 Thc alleviate al-leviate the distress overtaking thousands thous-ands of farmers in western Kansas, a "gooc'j fellow" movement has been organized here. A letter from A H. Rink, a home mission worker of thc Presbyterian church, In which conditions con-ditions are set forth, caused action to be taken. The western Kansas farmers farm-ers are said to be mostly in need of hay and other feed for their stock, which are on the verge of starvation on account of numerous blizzards. Farmers of Barton county have offered of-fered vast quantities of hay and straw and today the business men here organized a committee to install a baler and make shipments of feed to districts In need. |
