Piatt of Now York, sent their signed applications today as contestants contest-ants in tho Los Angeles international internation-al aviation meet, which is to begin here January 20th. Mr. Atwater wrote that ho nnd his wife would try for prizes. Atwater will fly a Curtiss biplane and Mrs. Atwater will use a Curtiss hydroplane. hydro-plane. , These applications brought the total number up to !, including thoso of four women Mrs. Atwater, Miss Scott, Miss Qulmby and Miss Molsnnt. Another entry received today was that of Lew Gunn, a Chinese aviator. "I will fly In the name of the now republic of China," his letter stated. |
