Show DECISION SOON ON QUASjiTION LOS' ANGELKS, July 10 Arguments Argu-ments on the motions to quash tl Indictments against John J. and James B. McNamara, alleged dyna mite plotters, were concluded today Judge Bordwell announced that he would make a ruling on tho arguments argu-ments Wednesday. About an hour was takon up by the case today. W Josoph Ford, assistant assis-tant district attorney, concluded the technical argument for the prosecution, prosecu-tion, contending that tho dcfcnsc'G motions should be disallowed. The defense did not reply, presumably presuma-bly because of a possible technical advantage in case a verdict should bo rendered against its clients In the superior su-perior qourt and the supreme court should be asked to grant a new trial. The prosecution declared Its Intention Inten-tion of filing affidavits sworn to by tho members of the grand jury to tt effect that they wore not biased as alleged bv the defense when they returned the Indictments against the McNamaras Tho defense said it would probably ask the court not to consider such affidavits. Judge Bord well nnnounced that ho believed the ruling should bo made on the motions to quasji before affidavits wero filed 00 |
