Show FISH CULTURE IN THIS STATE Fred W Chambers, state fish and game commissioner, has received a number of communications from California, Cal-ifornia, Wyoming and slates as far away even ao Louisiana, asking for Information and data regarding trout propagation in Utah Mr Chambors said yesterday that tho industry of artificial fish propagation has been carrjed on in this state with such surprisingly sur-prisingly successful results that Utah's fame in this connection has already spread across the country. Mr. Chambors Cham-bors is now busy supplying the commissioners com-missioners of the states named with full Information covering the subject sub-ject Next month, according to Mr Chambers, Cham-bers, will be the banner month of the season for fishjng In the streams of the state. The waters are lowering and clearing up considerably, he said, which always precedes the hungTy season for trout According to statistics stat-istics and Inspection, the rivers and creeks ofthe stato were never so well stocked with fish of the catchable. Mr. Chambers reports that within a distance of one mile along Seven Mile creek in Sovlor county, himself and others had no difficulty In catching catch-ing the limit of fifteen pounds each inside of two and a half hours, and that ten seines drawn from the stream brought out an average of 1000 pounds each By leaving here In an automobile early in tho morning the trip to Seven Mile creek and back, with plenty of time for angling, could be made by nightfall next day. |
