Show M BOATING ON THE LAKE. H The safe return of Joseph Nelson and party, from a pleasure ride on Great Salt Lake, after they were thought to bo lost, is a H Bourco of rejoicing. H There has boen no grent loss of life on the Dead Sea of Arner- H ica and that may be attributed to two causes. First, there is not H much boating on the lake, and. second; tliere is no place in the H body of water where a boat would be out of reach of land in 'ease Hj Df a sudden storm. H The buoyancy of the salt water is a protection against serious H Hccident, although the waves of the heavy water beat with great H force against any unyielding obstacle to their course H "When it was reported that the pleasure seekers were missing Hj and anxiety was expressed over their safety, those familiar with the H lake did not participate in the alarm and pointed out the forego- H ing reason why a report of the safety of the party should be cx- H pectcd. H Boating on the lake is a comparatively 'safe pastime. |
