RICH FLOAT CAUSES STAMPEDE AT WELLS During the past several days all who could have been prospecting tho mountains from two to six or eight miles southwest of Wells, and a goodly number of claims have been staked off by would-be mino owners Some very rich float has been discovered dis-covered in the section and a number of ledges carrying gold have been found. Ten claims, located by Mc-Claln Mc-Claln and Stockton, have been given in option to Salt Lake mining men, who propose doing some work on tho properties We are not- at liberty at the present time to publish the particulars par-ticulars of this deal, but can state that assays have been received from samples from the property giving values val-ues as high as $54 In gold and silver.
