Show Severe Defeat of Cubs by Boston Causes Changes Boston, July 17 rManagor Frank Chance of tho Cubs has doclded upon a shakeup In his team, following the severe drubbing at the hands of Boston Bos-ton on Saturday Vic Saier will be put on first base today and Artie Hoffman will go back to his regular outfield berth. Chance spent all day Sunday on the situation disclosed by Saturday's defeat and this change was ono of the remedies he decided to try out. He used to be good nt both and it was thought a few weeks of practice would remedy the weakness weak-ness which was apparent when Hoffman Hoff-man was first changed from outfielder outfield-er to Inflelder this season.
