Show Coleman win pushes Milne to League lead pushed in four runs in the first frame with a home run in the frame by Kingsford. Kingsford and Soderquist were on the mound for Rotary with Leishman and Hulet seeing mound action for the Mortuary crew. Milne 5 1 Kiwanis 6 2 Coleman 4 3 Carter Bros 4 4 Rotary 2 5 Spilsbury -Graff 0 6 Milne Truck Line slipped into first place in the American Little League on the strength of a 5-3 victory by Coleman over Kiwanis. Alger and Henderson were on the mound for the victory for Coleman with Cronquist and Webb hurling for the losers. Corry homered in the contest. Milne aided their own case during the week scoring a 14-10 win over Carter Bros. Milne sent Miller, Jex, and Pryor to the mound in the game winning effort with Carter and Bulloch sharing the duty for the losers. Milne got mileage out of their big bats with two homeruns by Christensen and one by Pryor. Milne led in the contest 12-5 after five innings by Carter came back with five in the six to fall short in their last inning rally. Coleman, in addition to their win over Kiwanis came up with a 13- 9 win over Rotary on the strength of a big fourth inning that saw six runs score on five hits. Alger and Henderson were again on the mound for the win. Rotary sent Gregerson, Kingsford and Soderquist to the mound. Kingsford also homered in the contest. Carter Bros, picked up a pair of victories during the week with a 14- 6 win over Spilsbury and Graff and a 12-1 win over Rotary. Against SG Neilson, Carter and Bulloch saw mound duty. Leading only 7-6 after five Carter pushed in seven big runs in the sixth to ice the game. Bulloch also homered for Carters. Car-ters. Leishman and Hulet were on the mound for Spilsbury and Graff. Against Rotary Neilson hurled a one hitter at Rotary aid collected 11 strikeouts along the way. The Carter Bros, effort was aided by a home run by Carter. Soderquist suffered the loss. Rotary picked up a win during the week's action with a 10-1 win over Spilsbury and Graff. Rotary |
