Lake Powell (lower reaches): Fishing on Lake Powell is currently fair to good for bass, but most of the fish taken are only about a pound. Waterdogs and rubber worms are the best baits. Trout fishing is only fair, but should pick up by the dam in the near future; spinners are best lures. Catfishing is very good to excellent and getting better all the time. Worms, dead baits of almost any kind, and stink baits work well; most catfish (channel cats) range from one to three pounds. Crappie fishing is slow. |
