By the Jr. High staff 1 .u,.,,,,,,, j CJHPTSA elect New Officers President-Elect, Ann Frehner, a member of the nominating Committee presented the candidates for PTSA officers. Nominations were open to the floor, but no nominations were made. Elections were held and the new officers were elected as follows: Marian Whitney, vice president and president elect. Richard Webster, Teacher vice president. Barbara Christensen, secretary. Janet Weaver, treasurer. The revised by-laws were discussed and approved. President Torresgave a report on activites and projects that were completed com-pleted this year by PTSA and thanked everyone who had given of their time and effort to make this year a success. Principal Dee Smith discussed some up-coming events. The closing program at the Junior High will be on May 23. Dates are not encouraged, en-couraged, and parents are encouraged not to go all out on clothing. Suits are not required for the boys, as they are growing so fast at this age. Girls should wear modest dresses. The annual meeting of the Cedar City Junior High PTAS was held April 6 at 7.00 p. m. in the Jr. High gym. The meeting was called to order by Pres. Clyda Torres. The Flag presentation was given by Troop No. 3G0, and Bishop Clayton Frehner gave the invocation. The Reflection winners were presented certificates by Leah Michie, Individual Development Commissioner. Com-missioner. The CJH Chorus rendered some musical selections under the direction of Karen Wideman, a student teacher. The minutes were read and approved and a financial finan-cial report given by Fern Hunter, Sec-Treas., was also presented. |
