Show f Weather clamps down on CHS Baseball Grove. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m. The Vikings have suffered at least one league loss --that --that at the hands of the Dixie Flyers in St. George. They also have a non-league victory to their credit over Carbon, Coach Clark stated. For the I led men they will probably put Lance Prestwich on the mound with Kerry Cox and Oscar Hulet in reserve. Other starters are expected to be Brent Slack behind the plate, Kerry Cox at first base, Curtis Peterson at second, Dave Smith at third and Gary Jack at shortstop. In the outfield Coach Clark is expected to start Dale Corry, Bruce Nakken, and Scott Whitney. If the weather holds up the Redmen will be back in action next week as they begin a quest for honors in Region Six. They host the American Fork Cavemen here Wednesday, April 19. Cedar High School Baseball has not gotten off the ground or out of the gymnasium -- so far this season owing to weather conditions. Coach Dave Clark and his Redmen are still looking for their first league game of the season and have only one practice game, a 8-2 win over Parowan, under their belts. "Hopefully we will be back in action this week," Coach Clark commented, "after being rained out of a contest scheduled ugaiast Hurricane Friday." So far the Redmen have been rained out of a league contest with Payson. That game will be scheduled later on in the season, Coach Clark indicated.
