These students of Mrs. Virginia Bauers third grade at the East Elementary were paid special tribute during the final week of school for obtaining 100 percent of their immunization shots. District Nurse Delia Farrow, presents Mrs. Bauer with cards for the students entitling them to free hamburgers at McDonalds. On hand were left to right, Principal Robert Stratton, Mrs. Max Miller, PTA president, Mrs. Bauer and Mrs. Farrow. Mrs. Farrow indicated that four classes at the South Elementary and one at the Escalante Valley also received 100 percent. Overall the district had 77.4 percent total immunization. Free shots can still be obtained at the Health Department offices at the Steel Building west on 200 North Street and free hamburgers ham-burgers will be awarded through the end of June, Mrs. Farrow indicated. |
