Show Summit TIM Hi ll'Miiu lljtriiptirl Mr. and Mrs. Allen Dalley and family enjoyed a weekend visit from Mrs. Dalley's mother, Mrs. Joyce Kidgeway of Santa Maria, Calif, and brother Elder Russell Ridgeway who was just returning home after filliug a two year LDS Mission in the Louisiana, Raton Rouge Mission. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith during thw week were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Gurr of Parowan and Mrs. Alice Pryor of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Munson and three children of Fillmore spent the weekend here with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Dalley. The Pinewood Derby for the Summit Cub Scouts led by Mrs. Dannie Condie and Mrs. Rodger Austin was held Wednesday evening at trhe Church with Curtis Whicker's car winning first place, Lee Allton's 2nd and Herbie White's 3rd. They were awarded prizes. A fun evening was enjoyed by all. Refreshments wre served. Cub Master Jay Davenport was in charge of the event. The Relief Society sponsored a fund raising dinner Friday evening under the direction of Mrs. Marc Allton a member of the Releif Society Presidency. Here to enjoy a good meal and visit with their folks were Mr. and Mrs. Mark Dalley and little daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Garfield and daughter all of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. David Dalley and children spent several days in Emery last week with Mrs. Dalley's family, the Merlin Christiansen's and were there to attend funeral services for her grandmother, Mrs. Leola Madsen Crook. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Divers are home after a week's vacation in Simi Valley, Calif, where they visited Mrs. Divers' brother and friends. Mr. Orien Dalley of Ann Arbor, Michigan spent Tuesday here with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fife are enjoying a sunny vacation in Blythe, Calif, with Mrs. Fife's sisters, June Clark, Virginia Chipman, Clesta Beal and their husbands of northern Utah, also Edna Bott of Cedar City. Mrs. Helen Richards spent Monday in Greenville with a daughter and family, the Ricke Edwards and was accompanied by her par-nets, par-nets, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith. |
