Show Services set for Thorley ; y , ft A V, Max Jones Tliorlcy, 64, died January 31 at his home in Cedar City. He was born Jan. 14, 1!)14 in Cedar City a son of Frank A. and Sage Jones Thorley. Max was a musician, land Developer and stockman. He received a Master's Degree from the University of Utah in Music. He studied on his Doctor's Degree at Columbia University. MAX J. THOltLEY He was noted for his poetery and music compositions. com-positions. He taught at Southern Utah State College with many private students. During his lifetime he was a prominent scholarship dormer to Southern Utah State College. Survivors include a brother, Robert J. Thorley, Cedar City; two sisters: Mrs. Harold J. (Norma) Dent and Mrs. Fredrick G. (Phyllis) Eberhard, both of Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. in the Cedar 13th LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Spilsburv and Graff Mortuary Mor-tuary in Cedar City Thursday Thurs-day from 7-8:30 p.m. and Friday from 1 1 :30 a. m. until 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Spilsbury and Graff Mortuary. |
