Show Activities at BLM Explained To BPW Club Members Miss Margaret Kopp, president presi-dent of the Cedar City Business Busi-ness and Professional Women's Wo-men's Club greeted members and guests at the regular dinner din-ner meeting held at Sullivan's Cafe. The tables were bright vith tulips and apple bios, soms. Miss Melissa Thorley entertained enter-tained with a piano solo, a Waltz, by Debussy. Morgan Jensen from the Bureau Bu-reau of Land Management at Cedar City lectured on the work of the BLM. He also showed slides of areas in Iron and Washington counties. The BLM is not suported by tax. money but returns $3.00 for' every $1.00 spent for its work. The main source of income is from mining leases, grazing leases, sale of Christmas trees and sale of Cedar posts. Mr. Jensen stated that his deDart- ment is actively seeking well qualified women to serve Jn supervisory management, su-ervisory su-ervisory personnel, computer program, payroll department, t-ditor, eartigrapher and many other capacities. Miss Kopp announced that the annual meeting will be held June 14 and a breakfast of the installation of new officers offi-cers will be held Sunday morning, June 25. |
