Show Missionary. MIA Programs to Be Theme of Quarterly Conference Members and guests of Parowan Par-owan Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are urged to attend the regular quarterly conference sessions which will be held ' Saturday and Sunday,, May 27 and 28. This conference will feature the work of the Mutual Improvement Im-provement Association and the Missionary Committee. Representing Repre-senting these organizations at the conference will be Finn B. Paulson of the Missionary Committee, Owen S. Rich and H. Lynn Warner of the Mu-' Mu-' tual Improvement Association from church headquarters in Salt Lake City. The work of these auxiliary organizations will be stressed in the Saturday meetings and general sessions of the conference confer-ence will be held at 10 a. m. and 2 p. m. on Sunday. Schedule Sched-ule of meeting will be as follows: fol-lows: The schedule of meetings on Saturday for those members of the stake who are concerned with MIA or Missionary programs pro-grams begins at 2 p. m., and continues on through the day ; and climaxes with a joint Priesthood Leadership meeting meet-ing at 7 p. m. This meeting is for all stake and ward aux iliary heads as well as the presidencies of the priesthood quorums. Sunday general sessions arc set for 10 a. m. and 2 p. m and will be hold in the Third Ward chapel, and all members of the Stake are urged to attend at-tend as well as any others who may be interested. Special music for these sessions ses-sions will be furnished by a Stake Youth Chorus in the morning and the Enoch Ward choir in the afternoon. Elder Paulsen is a Utah building contractor and former form-er president of the Brazilian South Mission for the Church. His committee has jurisdiction jurisdic-tion over the 12,000 volunteers who are serving full-time missions mis-sions throughout the free world. Elder Rich is an assistant professor of Radio and TV Speech at BYU, is the vice president of the National Association As-sociation of professional Broadcasting Education and is a former producer of television programs in Hollywood. Miss Warner has fulfilled a mission to Norway and has been active in the MIA and Sunday School organizations. She is presently teaching in a Salt Lake City high school. |
