Show Delay in Active Duty Offered By Enlistment Program Qualified young men may now enlist in the Army with a delay of up to 120 days in reporting for active duty, according ac-cording to Major William Tai, Commanding Officer for this area's Army Recruiting. Major Tai stated that: "The program will be beneficial to high school seniors who will have a military obligation to meet in the next few months." This program is designed to provide flexibility to permitting permit-ting an individual to enlist for a particular space or specialty at a future date. The delayed 1 entry program will also as- sist in controlling the input of new men into training centers, cen-ters, so that Army reception and training facilities are not overloaded during a specific month. Sergeant Jahn of the -local recruitering station rated the program "a good thing" for qualified young men who want to enlist for a particular space or assignment in a specialized field.
