'J'Wd'ih i ; I fyf "'i :; x U .I '' Mi V 1 rrfl RUTH ANN KNIGHT A group of 48 students of the Parowan LDS Seminary received certificates of graduation grad-uation from that institution on Wednesday evening in graduation rites held in the Third Ward chapel. Twenty-three of the group were three year graduates and 25 were four year graduates, showing that a large percent of the students are going on to an extra year in this work. Also four students received certificates of achievement, meaning they had spent one or two years in the Seminary program. Speaking to the theme of the evening's program as prepared pre-pared by their instructor, Ernest Ern-est Ahlborn and the graduates "Who's on the Lord's Side", were students Andrea Adams and Glen Robinson, and guest speaker was Ward Magleby of Provo. A highlight of the program was presentation of the Barbara Bar-bara M. Adams "Womanhood" award. Each year this award is presented to a young lady graduating irom lour years or Seminary, who best exemplifies exempli-fies the fine qualities of LDS womanhood. The award was presented by Mrs. Adams to Ruth Ann Knight, daughter of President and Mrs. Howard D. ' Knight. The recipient has rated rat-ed high in her school work for the past four years, and has been very active in extra curricular events, especially in music. |
