Show Benefits of Social Security Told lo Widows Some widows in this area may not bo aware that they can get social security benefits bene-fits on the account of their deceased husband. Widows with children in their care who are entitled to social security se-curity benefits may be eligible eligi-ble to get monthly payments. Widows who are at least 60 years of age may be eligible for benefits even though they do not have children in their care and widows who lost their social security benefits because they remarried are eligible el-igible to have their benefits reinstated If they are now single. Widows who remarried after they were age 60 may be eligible to have part of their widow's benefits restored even though they are still married. Some women may also qua- lify for "widow's" benefits and "wife" benefits on their former husband's account. They must have been married at least 20 years before their divorce, and there must be a court order or other support agreement which was in effect ef-fect at the time their former husband died or became en- titled to social security benefits. bene-fits.
