Show Order of Eastern Stars Hold Meeting Cedar Chapter No. 20, Order of the Eastern Star met for its regular meeting Monday evening, even-ing, April 8, at the Masonic Temple with Miss Ethel Smith, worthy matron, and Ross Slye, worthy patron presiding. Under the order of business plans were made for the visitation visi-tation of the Grand Officers on Saturday, April 27. A dinner din-ner will be held at the College Of Southern Utah's small ball-room ball-room at 6:00 P.M. Members who plan to attend the dinner din-ner should contact Mrs. Geraldine Ger-aldine Gooding before April 25th. A practice meeting will be held Saturday afternoon, April 20, at 2:30 P.M. for all Chapter officers. The following past matrons and past patrons of the Chapter Chap-ter were honred durng the meetng: Bernice Lewis, Marie , Endsley, Lelah Wilson, Ruth j Gardner, Marie Bunnell, Mar-jorie Mar-jorie Arrowsmith, Marjorie . Durand, Candace Ewing, Mar-garet Mar-garet Slye, Jennie Peters, Floyd Eyman, Clayton Lewis, Tom Murray, Harley Endsley and Gustin Gooding. Special recognition was extended to Mrs. Lewis who was installed as the first worthy matron of the Chapter when it was constituted con-stituted Nov. 3, 1951. Mrs. Lewis responded with a brief resume' of the Chapter's progress pro-gress since that time and extended ex-tended her thanks and appreciation apprec-iation to the matrons who followed fol-lowed after her. At the conclusion of the meeting members and visitors enjoyed refreshments served by Marjorie Arrowsmith and Margaret Slye. |
