Show LDS Temple Wedding Ceremony Unites Pauline Evans and Steven Don Applegate After a short honeymoon in southern and eastern Utah, the newly marrieds are now residing in Parowan. Pauline graduated from the Parowan High School where she was cheerleader for three years and is presently an employee em-ployee at Bank of Iron County. Coun-ty. Steven, also a graduate of Parowan High, has attended Idaho State University and is now attending CSU and is cm-ployed cm-ployed by Farmers Supply Co. and is a member of the Utah National Guard. Nuptial rites solemnized on Saturday, April 13 in the St. George LDS Temple joined Miss Pauline Evans and Mr. Steven Don Applegate. Officiating Offic-iating in the double ring ceremony cere-mony was President Rudger C. Atkin of the temple in the presence of immediate members mem-bers of both families. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Evans of this city and parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Don J. Applegate, former residents resi-dents of Parowan but now of Idaho Falls Idaho.- The newlyweds were honored honor-ed that evening at a reception held in the Third Ward cultural cul-tural hall. For the occasion the bride wore a dress of white nylon silk organza with chan-tilly chan-tilly lace applique flowers adorned with pearls down the front of the dress and also down the train. The dress was a slim style empire waist with long sleeves. The back featured fea-tured a row of tiny covered buttons and a long flowing train attached with a self material ma-terial bow. Her bouquet was white glamelias and roses. Bridal attendants were Mrs. Allen K. Nielsen as matron of honor; Vicky Anne Evans, maid of honor; and Debra and Helen Evans, bridesmaids. The flower girls were April Evans, Corrine and Kerry Lynne Applegate,, Ap-plegate,, sisters of the bridal couple. The attendants wore long satin brocade dresses in turquoise and white and carried car-ried Colonial nosegays. The flower girls wore dresses like the bridesmaids in shorter length and carried gladiola florettes. Best man was Chris Apple-gate, Apple-gate, brother of the bridegroom bride-groom and ushers wore Allen K. Nielsen, Douglas Evans, and Mike Adams. The bride's mother wore a rose colored lace formal and mother of the bridegroom wore a blue and white lace formal. Each wore a corsage of white glamelias. i Assisting at the reception' were Kathy Rowley at the gift book; Jackie Evans, Mary Kae Evans, Mickie A. Evans, Eva-lee Eva-lee Applegate, with Kieth Nielsen, Kelly Nielsen and Mary Ann Applegate, as gift bearers. Lorrine Bradshaw catered the refreshments and was assisted as-sisted by Carma , Evans and Mae Simkins. Serving were Diane Rasmussen, Annette Halterman, Kathy Orton, Mary Louise Robinson and Shirlee Joseph. Glen Halterman was M.C. for a short program which Included two songs by a girl's quintet, vocal solos by Kathy Rowley, and Allen Nielsen, a saxophone solo by Hazel Jean Robinson and a reading by Mae Simkins. The quintet was composed of Annette Stubbs, Kathy Rowley, Brenda Adams, Kathy Mitchell and Cherie Holyoak. Dancing followed the program. |
