Show j "Cameioi" Date Hears at CSU ! "Some of the most original sets in the history of College of Southern Utah theater will be used in 'Camelt'," according accord-ing to Fred C. Adams, director of the forthcoming musical production scheduled at CSU May 1, 2, 3, and 4. - Mr. Adams said that Gary Mclntyro, artistic designer for the play, has devised a number num-ber of backgrounds dipicting areas in and around the castle cas-tle of Camelot, dwelling place of the legendary King Arthur and Knights of the Round Table. Included will be a forest setting featuring the "ice tree'' famous in the winter win-ter scene showing the first meeting of Arthur and Guen-evere. Guen-evere. Other sets are Guen-cvere's Guen-cvere's room, Arthur's study, and additional interior views of the fabled castle. j "Costuming will be equally brilliant," stated Mr. Adams. The wardrobe department has been working on elegant gowns and striking knight's attire for several months, including in-cluding knitted suits of armor. Mary Judd of Sparks, Nov., is costume designer. She is assisted by JoAnne Fanning, Colton, Calif., as wardrobe mistress. I Leading roles in the Broad-' way hit which starred Richard Burton, Julie Andrews, and Robert. Goulet, are taken in the CSU production by Simon Bronson, Salt Lake City, as Arthur; Randy P. Hansen, Pleasant Grove, Guenevere-and Guenevere-and Floyd Rigby, Cedar City,! Lancelot. Other principals in the cast are Dale Jensen, Redmond, Red-mond, Sevier County; Greg Langley, Boulder City, Nev.; Patti Lyman, Monticello; Frank Kanig, Spanish Fork; Christine Dotson, Parowan; Michael Boss, Cedar City; John Paulk, Salt Lake City; and Glenn Powell, Long View, Wash. |
